Skills Coach General

Ref: SCGA 2/17

The overall purpose of this post is to support the recovery of individuals with mental ill health through the effective planning and delivery of  programme of training which will meet their individual needs and prepare them for progression towards further education, training or employment.

Essential Criteria includes:

  • GCSE Maths and English grades A*-C or QCF Level 2 Essential Skills in Numeracy & Literacy
  • Relevant QCF Level 3 qualification
  • Paid work experience in a mental health or other relevant setting
  • Experience of delivering training programmes in a group setting
  • Experience of providing training to a recognised accredited standard e.g. NVQ, OCN, OCR etc.
  • A valid full driving licence and access to a car or form of transport to facilitate full duties of the post.
